Eillie & Jason - wedding

Its Sunday and I realize I am getting behind in my posts - so here a few from my most recent wedding - Ellie and Jason. It was a beautiful February day and we couldn't really have asked for better. I love the colour images from this wedding. Ellie and Jason - where super easy to photograph, they where either having a great laugh or a great hug.

Angela & George - eng session

Angela and George...does it look we had fun? Absolutely! This is from the fall session we did - since I didn't get a chance to show it before i thought i would now.

Something very different for me....

I spent a weekend in Montréal a while ago with my wife celebrating her birthday and one of the highlights of the trip was visiting the private art gallery's in Old Montreal. Walking through the beautiful gallery's I had an epiphany about art and my photography. I know I want to add a new dimension to my work and will be experimenting with different ways to express emotion in my images. I have an idea where this is going to take me - but I am not quite sure exactly - looking forward to the creative journey though.

WOW almost completely booked!

It’s been a very crazy season for bookings. I don't think I have ever booked all my dates this quickly before. So to all my great friends thank you for your vote of confidence. The majority of my new weddings come from past wedding client referrals’, and I am truly grateful. I have one Saturday left for 2008 and have already booked 4 dates for 2009. Next year looks like it will go fast too.

While I may be booked I will gladly refer interested brides to some of my closest photography friends that also do great work so feel free to enquire.

I don't want to post anything without some kind of image - so my here is one from the first day of school - in celebration of March break!

Melissa & Mateo - eng session

I do a lot of Engagement sessions at Sunnyside Park along the Lakeshore. In my defense i just find that everytime I go I see a different angle or way of shooting so I never get bored. Of course it helps when i get a wonderful couple like Mateo amd Melissa...

a beginning

How it all started... I thought some of you might be interested in how I started this adventure in Wedding Photography. When I graduated from High school my parents bought for me my first real camera - Your basic SLR with one standard lens. My Uncle was handy with a camera and recommended I try Slides " 'cause they have great colour". So I did. I would load my camera with a roll of Kodachrome slide film and go take pictures. I didn't really know what I was doing or why but I just followed my heart and eyes.

This is an image I took on one of my adventures. In many ways it was the first image that I took that mattered. I see now how my interest in the 'surreal' began, how ordinary scenes can actually be quite extraordinary. This image was taken over 20 years ago. It still speaks to me and for me at least is timeless in its beauty. There is a truth in this image. True is beautiful, Truth is timeless. I believe true art will remain timeless. I hope the wedding images I create are equally timeless and 20 years from now will speak to you my clients with even greater emotion than they did when I first took them.
